ABOUT US

Destiny's Gift Charitable Foundation

DAR LOSU Foundation has been operating in Warsaw since 2022, providing comprehensive support to people with forced migration experience. Our main beneficiaries include seniors aged 60+, people with disabilities, and single mothers with children. Every month, around 120 people receive humanitarian assistance, and since the foundation’s establishment, we have supported more than 30,000 migrants.

We deliver food assistance through the FEBŻ program in cooperation with the Warsaw Food Bank (around 1,080 packages per year) and provide clothing and hygiene items thanks to our partnership with the LPP Foundation. We also regularly organize integration, educational, and cultural activities — around 36 events annually, including workshops, administrative consultations, digital skills training, and intergenerational meetings. In 2025, we successfully completed the project “Падтрымка і сяброўства,” which included 14 events for older migrants.

With the support of Fundacja FISE (WOWES), we launched a social enterprise producing homewear, and in 2025 we obtained the official status of a social enterprise, creating stable jobs for people with refugee status and international protection. We also support women excluded from the labor market by providing a practical knowledge base that helps them develop micro-businesses in the field of home baking.

The foundation actively participates in public consultations and dialogue groups of the City of Warsaw (DKDS Śródmieście, BKDS for Seniors), promoting equality, non-discrimination, and social inclusion. We collaborate with numerous institutions and organizations, including the Henryk Wujec Foundation, the STOCZNIA Foundation, and the Warsaw Food Bank.

“Warsaw Through Seniors’ Eyes”

On the warmth that shines brighter than the winter sun

The event “Warsaw Through Seniors’ Eyes” has come to an end, yet its atmosphere still lingers with us. This was not an ordinary film screening. Seniors with migration experience created twelve short films in which they shared their life stories, journeys, and new beginnings in Warsaw.

When they stepped onto the stage, there were no decorations behind them — only their lives.
We listened in silence, moved by the sincerity of their gazes, the warmth of their words, and the trembling of their voices. Their stories carried courage and loss, but also gratitude and love for the city that has become their second home.

The DAR LOSU Foundation created this project as a space of safety and creativity. Looking at the photographs from the event, we see what matters most — the light in the eyes of people who felt needed, seen, and truly heard.

The project was implemented within the “Warsaw – an Open City” programme, organised by the City of Warsaw and operated by the Inna Przestrzeń Foundation. Thanks to this support, seniors were able to share their stories and have their voices heard.

We thank:
the City of Warsaw for its trust,
the Inna Przestrzeń Foundation for supporting the project,
the Śródmieście Cultural Centre for its hospitality and warmth.

Fundacja Uwolnij Złomka – for the donated computers that enabled seniors to independently create their films and develop digital skills.

This project reminded us that home is where you are understood.
That evening, we were all at home.

Building a Supportive Community

The DAR LOSU Foundation invites you to weekly meetings of the Belarusian civil society.
This is an open space for everyone who wishes to discuss important social issues, share experiences, and jointly explore solutions for the future of the Belarusian community in Poland.

The meetings take place in an informal atmosphere, encouraging open exchange of opinions and the building of meaningful relationships. They bring together socially engaged individuals, activists, and all those committed to the development of civil society. We address current topics, analyse challenges, and work together to strengthen our local community.

More information is available on our Telegramchannel.

A Space for Integration and Growth for Older Adults

The DAR LOSU Foundation carries out regular integration activities for seniors aged 60+.
These include shared outings and short excursions, handcraft and thematic workshops, computer and new-technology classes, intimate film gatherings, and time spent together in a friendly group of peers.

The aim of these initiatives is to strengthen independence, build social connections, and create a welcoming space where older adults can develop their interests and spend time in an active and supportive way.

Joint Programs Implemented with the SOS Food Bank in Warsaw

Together, we implement activities within the European Funds for Food Assistance 2021–2027 program, aimed at providing food support as well as accompanying measures that foster social inclusion and strengthen the independence of beneficiaries.

Details about the assistance offered and eligibility criteria are available on our Telegram channel and through the contact form on our website.

Social Enterprise

FOND DAR LOSU operates a social enterprise that obtained official social economy status in 2025.
We create jobs for people with refugee status, supporting them in developing new skills, rebuilding a sense of security, and entering the labour market. The resources generated through this work also allow us to support individuals who cannot work due to age, health, or difficult life circumstances.

FOND DAR LOSU also assists people who wish to establish their own social enterprises by providing guidance and support at key stages of planning and developing their activities. Our efforts strengthen the local community by promoting self-reliance, responsibility, and long-term social inclusion.
